FAO: Azerbaijan to demonstrate its innovative work in agro-industry to world at COP29

Azerbaijan has the opportunity to demonstrate to the world the innovative work done in the agro-industrial sector within the framework of the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29), which will be held in Baku in November 2024, UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) representative in Azerbaijan, Muhammad Nasar Hayat said, Report informs.

He made the remark at the opening ceremony of Caspian Agro and 29th Azerbaijan International Food Industry ‘InterFood Azerbaijan’ exhibitions on May 15.

The official emphasized that today's exhibition is important for the development of the agricultural sector: "The exhibition brings together various sectors, including animal husbandry, poultry, and horticulture, and emphasizes the importance of digitization in agriculture. It creates a great opportunity for experts, private sector, farmers, as well as general consumers to share their knowledge and experience, in addition to building relationships between local and international partners."

Nasar Hayat also noted that FAO, as one of the main partners of the government of Azerbaijan, is pleased to join the efforts aimed at diversifying the country's economy.
