Minister: There are no obstacles for Azerbaijan to expand cooperation with Romania

There are no obstacles to expanding cooperation between Azerbaijan and Romania, Sahil Babayev, Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Population, Co-Chairman of the Joint Commission on Trade-Economic Relations and Scientific-Technical Cooperation between the Governments of Azerbaijan and Romania, said at the 8th meeting of the Commission, held in Baku, Report informs.

He noted that following the dynamics of development in the economic relations of the two countries, the trade turnover is increasing and last year recorded a positive dynamic of 29.3%.

"This and the next meetings of the Joint Commission will increase relations in various fields. Today we will hold discussions in energy, transport, investment, agriculture, social, education, humanitarian, infrastructure, construction and other fields. The Joint Declaration on Strategic Partnership signed in 2009 and the Joint Action Plan on the implementation of Strategic Partnership signed in 2011, in general, more than 60 cooperation documents signed in the past period have created an opportunity for the development of relations between our countries, and these relations have risen to the level of strategic partnership," the minister stressed.
