Work has begun on the creation of the Foundation of the Transport Corridor Europe-Caucasus-Asia (TRACECA), which may begin operations next year, national secretary of the TRACECA intergovernmental commission for Azerbaijan, Rufat Bayramov told Report.
“Currently, work is underway on the charter of the foundation. A meeting of the TRACECA intergovernmental commission will be held in Iran this year. We are preparing all the documents to make a decision on the creation of the foundation during the session. The foundation may begin activities next year," he noted.
According to Bayramov, all TRACECA countries, international commercial companies and other interested parties will be invited to the foundation.
"The main goal of creating the foundation is the development of TRACECA and the implementation of infrastructure projects," he added.
