NEQSOL Holding announced its investment plans for the reconstruction and development of the liberated territories of Azerbaijan, Report informs.
"NEQSOL Holding plans to make an investment of up to 200 million manats ($117.5 million) in total for the restoration and development of the region. The projects will aim to support the large-scale work carried out by the state of Azerbaijan in the direction of the development of the region, the provision of green energy, as well as the revitalization of economic and social life, the creation of jobs and educational opportunities for the local population, and in this regard, the efforts of the reconstruction and development of the liberated territories of Azerbaijan. The proposed investment plan has already been approved by the holding's shareholder," said Yusif Jabbarov, CEO of the holding.
The investment plans of NEQSOL Holding and its companies will include the construction of an information technology-oriented school, the construction of a solar power plant in the Jabrayil district, the restoration and development of telecommunication infrastructure, and several other environmentally friendly projects that take care of the fascinating nature of the region. These projects will also support sustainable development goals in line with the Green World Solidarity Year in Azerbaijan.
Nobel Energy, part of NEQSOL Holding, plans to build a solar power plant in the Jabrayil district. The project will also serve the goal of turning the region into a green energy zone. As a result of the implementation of the project with a total capacity of 100 megawatts, it is planned to produce 180 million kilowatt hours of energy per year, which will provide electricity to about 58,000 homes on average. It is planned to employ 600 people during the construction of the station and 80 people after commissioning.
"Bakcell" and "Azerconnect" companies, which are parts of NEQSOL Holding, implement various projects in the region. "Bakcell" launched more than 120 base stations, 3 service centers, and 1 store in the region and introduced VoLTE service, which is a modern voice technology, to customers. "Bakcell" plans to increase the number of service centers in the region to 10. "Azerconnect" will further increase its investments in the creation and development of telecommunication infrastructure, as well as create up to 100 additional permanent jobs in the region.
The implementation of the projects will be started after appropriate coordination with the regulatory state bodies.
