Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan discuss prospects for cooperation

Azerbaijan`s Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov has met with adviser to the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kanat Bozumbayev.

 

The sides noted that both countries` presidents attach special importance to the development of relations in various areas based on the principles of mutual respect.

 

They emphasized that reciprocal visits, signed documents and events play an important role in enhancing bilateral economic cooperation. The two underlined that the two countries effectively cooperate within the Economic Cooperation Organization, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and the Organization of Turkic States.

 

Noting that investment is one of the important areas of cooperation, the sides pointed out that more than 150 Kazakh-invested commercial institutions operate in Azerbaijan in the fields of agriculture, industry, construction, trade, transport and services.

 

The parties also discussed the prospects for development of economic relations, ways to increase trade, promotion of investments and expansion of cooperation in the fields of transport and transit.
