The FIG Trampoline Gymnastics and Tumbling World Cup – AGF Trophy commenced today in Baku.
Athletes from 15 countries are competing in individual and synchronized disciplines. The event begins with the individual qualifying rounds for men and women in trampoline gymnastics.
In the trampoline event, Azerbaijan will be represented by Seljan Mahsudova, Shafiga Humbatova, Nijat Mirzayev, Mehdi Aliyev and Ali Niftaliyev. For the first time, the trampoline competition will feature mixed synchronized pairs program.
In the tumbling program, Azerbaijan’s hopes will be pinned on Tofig Aliyev, Adil Hajizade, Huseyn Asadullayev and Aleksey Karatashov.
The World Cup will run until February 23.
