Farid Mansurov, Vice President of the Azerbaijan National Olympic, attended the 6th European Olympic Academies Congress held in Athens, the capital of Greece.
The event, which was focused on providing a platform for discussions and debates on the key topics including Olympic Movement`s potential opportunities following the 33rd Summer Olympic Games held in Paris, highlighted how modern sport must evolve alongside the fast-paced changes in today’s world, particularly addressing the needs and preferences of younger generations, while respecting cultural traditions and diversity.
The Congress also heard speeches on the themes "Olympic program as a part of tradition and changes", "Current situation and prospects", "Paris-2024 heritage and message to the world", "Joint cooperation of universities with the National Olympic Academy".
The last day of the Congress featured an awarding ceremony of the European Olympic Academy.
The aim of the EOA is to gather the National Olympic Academies of the European continent in order to promote the Olympic Values, Philosophy and Ideals.
