The Azerbaijan men’s and women’s chess teams will be in action on Day 10 of the 45th FIDE Chess Olympiad 2024, taking place in Budapest, Hungary.
The men’s squad comprised of Shahriyar Mammadyarov, Rauf Mammadov, Nijat Abasov, Aydin Suleymanli and Mahammad Muradli will take on rivals from Cuba, while the women’s team, comprising of Gunay Mammadzade, Govhar Beydullayeva, Khanim Balajayeva, Ulviyya Fataliyeva and Gulnar Mammadova will face the team from Mongolia.
The Swiss system tournament, which will run until September 23, features 11 rounds.
