An insight into the financial return secured by La Liga giants Real Madrid through their first day of jersey sales featuring the name and number of Kylian Mbappé has been forthcoming online, according to Yahoo Sports.
For those not aware, the long-awaited sale of Real’s shirts for 2024/25 featuring the details of their latest Galáctico signing was sanctioned on Thursday.
This comes as Los Blancos prepare to unveil Mbappé in front of the Santiago Bernabéu early next week.
And, safe to say, it did not take fans of the Spanish champions at all long to make clear their support for the departing Paris Saint-Germain star.
As revealed by El Chiringuito TV, between Real Madrid’s official store and website, over 7,000 custom Mbappé kits were sold on day one.
This gave rise to around €800,000 worth of revenue for Los Merengues.
As expected, Mbappé’s long-awaited arrival in Madrid is already beginning to pay for itself.
