Legendary Portuguese coach José Mourinho wants to return to work this summer, and he has an unexpected option on the table.

Report informs via TEAMtalk that West Ham is considering Mourinho as a candidate. The club is unhappy with the recent results of the team in all competitions. In particular, the management was displeased with the first leg of the Europa League quarter-final against Bayer, where West Ham allowed the opponent to take over 30 shots on goal and lost 0-2.

The contract of the current West Ham head coach David Moyes expires in June. It's unlikely that the club will extend his contract.

Mourinho's most recent job was at Roma, from which he was dismissed in January of this year.

Previously, Mourinho has worked at two other London clubs – Chelsea and Tottenham. The 61-year-old Portuguese has also managed Inter Milan, Real Madrid, Manchester United, Porto, and Benfica.
