Azerbaijan to take on Moldova and England on R7 of European Team Chess Championship 2023

Azerbaijani chess players have concluded the sixth round of the European Team Chess Championship 2023 held in Budva, Montenegro, with no wins.

 

The R7 will see Azerbaijan to face Moldova in Open section, while the female players will lock horns with England in the Women’s section.

 

The European Team Championship, held every two years, is the most anticipated national team event after the Olympiad. This year, 38 teams in the Open section and 32 in the Women's are competing over nine rounds of chess, with each match played over four boards.

 

The Swiss tournament will run until November
