“It is crucial to consider the emotional context between the two countries when assessing France-Azerbaijan relations. The opening of the French Lyceum in Baku and Azerbaijan's cultural projects, such as those in opera, reflect positive sentiments towards France,” stated Gil Mihaeli, Director of Conflicts magazine, at the international conference on "France and the Armenia-Azerbaijan Conflict."
Mihaeli emphasized that after the collapse of the Soviet Union, the Armenian diaspora in France significantly increased its efforts to elevate the Karabakh issue internationally, ultimately becoming a political tool to influence French political figures.
