A delegation led by Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources of Somalia Dahir Shire Mohamed visited the Baku Higher Oil School (BHOS) of SOCAR.

During a meeting with the Minister, which was attended by SOCAR Vice President Ziba Mustafayeva, BHOS Rector Elmar Gasimov, SOCAR Vice President Advisor Sabina Karimova, and BHOS staff, Ziba Mustafayeva spoke about the activities and achievements of Baku Higher Oil School.

She emphasized that the university’s international relations are expanding, the number of foreign students is increasing every year, and that BHOS provides ample opportunities for Somali students.

It was noted that SOCAR allocated 3 scholarship places for students from Somalia.

"BHOS closely cooperates with industrial enterprises, where students successfully complete internships and engage in scientific research. All this will have a positive impact on their future careers," the Vice President noted.

During the meeting, the sides exchanged views on expanding opportunities for cooperation.
