Azerbaijan's Permanent Mission to the UN has been represented at the Coordination Segment of the UN Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC), where key achievements of COP29 in Baku were highlighted, Report informs referring to the diplomatic mission's press service.
The Azerbaijani side reaffirmed its commitment to transformational solutions to ensure sustainability and inclusivity in advancing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
"he event highlighted key achievements of COP29, including the Action Program and the COP Presidency Continuity Coalition, aimed at strengthening climate action measures, the permanent mission noted.
It was also emphasized that the momentum given to relevant activities at COP29 should serve as a foundation for more ambitious goals and strengthening partnerships. UN member states were invited to support COP29 commitments and declarations that are closely aligned with the SDGs.
