Mukhtar Babayev, Azerbaijan’s Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources, met with Lazar Comanescu, Secretary General of the Permanent International Secretariat (PERMIS) of the Organization of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (BSEC).
The discussions revolved around the prospects for cooperation in climate change, early warning of weather hazards, other environmental areas within the BSEC framework.
The sides also exchanged views on the outcomes of the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties (COP29) to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change held in Baku in 2024.
