Israel’s Ministry of Transportation and Road Safety completed the first phase of its national drone project this week, carrying out around 350 test flights across the country, according to TPS-IL.
The project now moves from isolated trials to a larger demonstration of drones operating in low-altitude airspace. Tests included medical deliveries, logistics, and support for police operations, alongside AI-based air traffic management systems.
Officials said the trial demonstrates the country’s ability to regulate and monitor drones at scale, paving the way for integrating unmanned aerial systems into routine transportation and emergency services.
