Pakistan has categorically rejected the baseless, provocative, and irresponsible allegations made by the Indian Prime Minister during a recent public address in Rajasthan. The remarks—laden with distortions, misrepresentations, and inflammatory rhetoric—are seen as an attempt to stoke regional tensions for narrow political gain.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, such statements not only aim to mislead the public but also violate the norms of responsible statecraft. Resorting to threats and boasting about military action against a sovereign nation is a serious breach of the UN Charter and established principles of international law. This dangerous approach undermines peace and stability in the region.
Pakistan reaffirmed its commitment to peaceful coexistence, regional stability, and constructive engagement. However, it stressed that this desire for peace should not be mistaken for weakness. The people of Pakistan and its armed forces are fully prepared to defend the country’s sovereignty and territorial integrity. Any misadventure or aggression will be met with a firm and proportionate response. Pakistan has demonstrated this resolve in the past and will do so again if necessary.
The statement urged the international community to take serious note of India’s aggressive posture and hate-driven rhetoric, which pose a threat to regional peace. It called for discouraging such conduct to help maintain stability in South Asia. Glorification of conflict serves no one; the path to lasting peace lies in dialogue, mutual respect, and adherence to international law.
Pakistan also reiterated its role as a consistent and proactive partner in the global fight against terrorism. Any attempt to associate Pakistan with terrorism is factually incorrect and deliberately misleading. Such tactics are often used to distract from India’s internal challenges, particularly its repressive policies in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK). The plight of the Kashmiri people and their legitimate struggle for self-determination cannot be masked by aggressive rhetoric or political deflection.
