Fire at wood products factory in Türkiye

A major fire that broke out February 10 evening at a wood products factory in the industrial zone of the Turkish city of Afyonkarahisar has not been extinguished for 12 hours, Report informs via TRT Haber TV channel.

About 60 fire crews are involved in fighting the fire.

The fire has spread to a vast area of the factory. Firefighting efforts are also hampered by wind in the region. There remains a risk of flames spreading to neighboring enterprises, including plastic manufacturing facilities.

According to local authorities, there are no casualties or injuries from the fire. The causes of the fire have not yet been determined, but there is a theory that it could have occurred due to faulty electrical wiring.
