African Nations Championship to be held next February

At a meeting held by the Executive Committee of the Confederation of African Football (CAF) in Nairobi, Kenya, it was announced that the African Nations Championship will take place between February 1 and 28, 2025, in East Africa.

The correspondent of the AZERTAC Agency, based on the report from the Confederation of African Football (CAF), noted that the first round of the qualifiers will occur from October 25 to 27, 2024. Details regarding the stadiums and other venues for the tournament will be communicated at a later time.

The CAF Executive Committee meeting also discussed preparations for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations, which will be jointly hosted by Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda.

On the sidelines of this meeting, CAF President Patrice Motsepe visited some of the stadiums proposed to host the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations matches in Kenya.
