Danish Armed Forces to receive $2.33 billion for missile defense and drone production

The Danish government has secured majority support in parliament for the first part of a cross-party defense deal, which regulates the funding of the country's Armed Forces.

Report informs, referring to the Ministry of Defense of the Kingdom, that the document envisages the allocation of 16 billion krone ($2.33 billion) for the production of anti-missile defense equipment and unmanned aerial vehicles.

Thus, with a large majority in the parliament, the government agreed on the first part of the new defense agreement in June 2023.

The document was presented by the Minister of Defense of Denmark, Troels Lund Poulsen, and representatives of the parliamentary parties in the Ministry of Defense.

The total amount of funding included in the defense agreement until 2033 is 155 billion krone ($22.6 billion).
