The Georgian authorities attach great importance to the development of relations with China and the visit of the delegation of the ruling Georgian Dream party serves the purpose of ensuring the proper implementation of the strategic partnership agreement between the countries, said chairman of the Georgian Dream and head of the delegation, Irakli Kobakhidze, Report informs referring to Georgian media.

As part of the visit, which will take place on January 15-20, high-level meetings are planned in Beijing and Shanghai. According to Kobakhidze, representatives of the Georgian delegation have already met with Chairman of the International Liaison Department of the Communist Party of China, Liu Jianchao, and his deputy, Sun Haiyan, as well as with the leadership of the Development Research Center of the State Council.

Kobakhidze added that there are many areas where deepening relations between Georgia and China is possible.
