A casualty has been reported in a shooting that occurred in a restaurant in Armenia's Kotayk, Spokesman for the country's Investigative Committee Gor Abrahamyan said, Report informs via Sputnik Armenia.
Armenian media reported earlier that as a result of a dispute between around 10 people in At Eric's restaurant, the former deputy chief of the country's General Staff, Tiran Khachatryan, began shooting from an award-winning weapon.
One person was injured and taken to the hospital, and Khachatryan was detained.
Abrahamyan did not name the participants in the incident, saying that the Investigative Committee opened a criminal case under certain Articles including hooliganism, illegal weapons trafficking, causing bodily harm in connection with this case.
He also confirmed that there was a casualty as a result of the shooting, but did not disclose details.
