Brazil to hold its first meeting to prepare for G20 summit on January 18

The first meeting to prepare for the Group of Twenty (G20) summit, which will be chaired by Brazil in November, will take place on January 18 online, reads a message published on the website of the event’s organizing committee, Report informs referring to TASS.

 

The first meetings in the format of working groups will be held starting from January 18 in a video conference format. Their goal is to develop an agreed agenda for further discussion at the summit, the organizing committee noted.

 

The second stage of preparation will take place from March to June and will be of a technical nature. From October to November, personal meetings will be held at the level of heads of ministries of the member countries of the association.

 

The final G20 summit in 2024 will take place on November 18-19 in Rio de Janeiro. According to preliminary information from the organizers, it is expected that all 20 leaders of the participating countries will receive an invitation to this meeting.
