King of Jordan spoke to Blinken about situation in Middle East
King Abdullah II of Jordan received US Secretary of State Antony Blinken in Amman, who was informed about the consequences of the conflict in the Middle East, Report informs referring to Jordanian media.
The king noted that it is necessary to end the humanitarian crisis in the Gaza Strip. He praised US efforts to achieve a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, protect civilians and ensure the delivery of humanitarian and medical assistance.
The parties also discussed the strategic partnership between Jordan and the US and increased cooperation in various fields.
Before his visit to Jordan, Blinken visited Türkiye, where he held talks with President Recep Tayyip Erdogan. They discussed a number of issues, including the situation in Gaza, the transfer of F-16 aircraft to Ankara, as well as Sweden’s accession to NATO.
