As Western funding dries up, Kyiv is pinning its hopes on cheap guided drones that can pinpoint the precise weak spot on an enemy vehicle, according to The Times, Report informs.

Cheap and lethal when carrying even a small explosive payload, kamikaze drones are, Ukraine believes, the answer to the West’s faltering commitment to military aid and the dwindling supply of ammunition.

"The increase in demand has been extreme. We started using FPV drones, and a month and a half later they started using them," said Bohdan Danyliv, the foundation’s FPV drones project coordinator.

This is one reason why the Ukrainian government has stepped in, with plans to manufacture all components domestically.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has pledged that Ukraine will manufacture a million of them this year. “The enemy will feel the wrath of domestic production,” he said in his New Year address.
