The production of drones, which are an extremely important means of warfare, is actively and rapidly developing in Ukraine, member of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Dmytro Bilotserkovets said in an interview with the Eastern European Bureau of Report.

According to him, development in the field of drone production is provided not by state, but by private companies.

"An unimaginably terrible war is going on in Ukraine. The real war also dictates objective conditions for the development of one or another branch of the military industry [..] The defense industry in Ukraine will continue to develop, since business is also interested in this. The enterprises themselves are actively participating in this and investing money, because there is a demand for it," he said.

The deputy noted that access to Western technological developments is very important for the defense industry, but there is no fear of delays in arms supplies in Ukraine.

"We lack components, primarily for drones. Because China does not always allow Ukraine to get the necessary parts. Today, almost all components for drones are produced in China. This is one of the main problems of Ukraine today in terms of the development of a specific industry. Ukraine will win this war, because we are on our own land, and we know what it means to defend our land," Bilotserkovets said.
