Japanese PM Kishida: No reports of damage by N.Korean missile

Japan's Prime Minister Kishida Fumio says there have been no reports of damage so far by the North Korean ballistic missile fired on Monday, according to NHK World.

Kishida made the remark after North Korea conducted the launch on Monday morning. This comes a day after Pyongyang fired a ballistic missile.

Kishida said he will convene the National Security Council after receiving detailed reports and confirming the current situation.

Earlier in the day, Kishida instructed government officials to do all they can to collect and analyze data, and provide information to the public swiftly and appropriately.

He also called on officials to take thorough measures to ensure the safety of aircraft and vessels, and be fully prepared for unexpected situations.
