Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant has announced mass surrenders of militants from the radical Hamas group as the Israeli military clears extremist-controlled areas of the Gaza Strip, Report informs referring to TASS.

Hamas terrorists are surrendering en masse, including those who took part in the October 7 attacks, while Israeli forces are conducting operations in Jabaliyah and Shajaiyah in the Gaza Strip.

According to the minister, the news publication Yedioth Ahronoth reports that the radicals are close to collapse.

Earlier, the head of the military department said that the Israeli military killed “thousands of militants and hundreds of commanders” of armed formations associated with Hamas during the operation in the Gaza Strip.

Also, according to Gallant, many Hamas infrastructure facilities in the Gaza Strip were destroyed: “tunnels, military infrastructure, ammunition depots.”

In addition, the military obtained hundreds of computers from which they extracted intelligence data, he added.
