Fernando Vara de Rey, Director of the Cervantes Institute of the Kingdom of Spain in Istanbul, and José Pedro Torrubia, Chargé d’Affaires in Azerbaijan, visited Azerbaijan University of Languages (AUL).

Rector of AUL Kamal Abdulla highlighted the cooperation between Azerbaijan and Spain in science, education, and culture. He provided details about the Spanish Language Center at AUL, noting that its main goal is to assist students in learning the Spanish language and culture, while supporting their academic research.

Chargé d’Affaires José Pedro Torrubia emphasized that collaboration between Azerbaijan and Spain extends to education and cultural fields.

During the meeting, both sides discussed prospects for scientific, literary, and cultural relations between the Istanbul Cervantes Institute and AUL, as well as the implementation of joint projects.

Fernando Vara de Rey expressed his gratitude for the hospitality and noted that several initiatives are planned in cooperation with AUL to enhance Spanish language teaching and learning.
