An event marking 8 November - Azerbaijan’s Victory Day was held in Ankara, the capital of Türkiye, co-organized by the BUTA Youth Solidarity Association and the Azerbaijani Students' Union, hosted by the Head Office of the Presidency for Turks Abroad and Related Communities of Türkiye (YTB).
Mehmet Ağar, Head of the YTB Head Office in Ankara; Tural Gafarli, Chairman of the BUTA Youth Solidarity Association; Hulusi Kılıç, former Turkish Ambassador to Azerbaijan; Yücel Karauz, former military attaché, major-general; Elchin Jafarli, Chairman of the Azerbaijani Students' Union attended the event.
The event commenced with observing a minute of silence to honor the sacred memory of the Azerbaijani martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the Motherland. Subsequently, the national anthems of both countries were performed.
In their remarks, the speakers stressed that Azerbaijan’s Victory in the Patriotic War is of great significance for the entire Turkic World.
The event also featured the screening of a video on the Azerbaijani Victory Day.
The event proceeded with the artistic program and concluded with the “Garabagh is Azerbaijan!” slogan.
