On the occasion of the 150th anniversary of Azerbaijan’s national press, heads of the Media Development Agency, the Audiovisual Council, the Press Council, and several media outlets visited the Alley of Honors to pay tribute to National Leader Heydar Aliyev by laying flowers at his tomb.
They also honored the memory of renowned ophthalmologist and academician Zarifa Aliyeva by placing flowers at her grave.
The delegation then visited the grave of Hasan bey Zardabi - the founder of the national press in Azerbaijan, publisher and editor-in-chief of the newspaper “Akinchi,” and an outstanding public figure. They laid a wreath and flowers at his grave in tribute.
The media representatives also visited the Victory Monument, laid a wreath and flowers, and honored the memory of those who lost their lives in the Patriotic War.
