The second issue of “IRS-Naslediye” magazine, traditionally coinciding with the Novruz holiday, has been published.

The edition begins with an article by Editor-in-chief Musa Marjanli, highlighting the spiritual roots of Novruz and the fire symbol, which are important to the celebration.

The article about the long-standing friendship between the prominent Azerbaijani oil industrialist and philanthropist Zeynalabdin Tagiyev and Emir of Bukhara, Seyid Mir Abdul Ahad, will also grab the readers’ interest. The relationship between the two, which at a certain point almost became a family bond, is considered an important episode in the history of Muslim public life in the Russian Empire and Azerbaijani-Uzbek relations.

The article pays special attention to women who stood at the forefront of Azerbaijani journalism in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. The publication underscores that their contribution reached the peak level during the existence of the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic, in the years of large-scale reforms covering all spheres of the country's life.
