AZERTAC’s photo correspondent Ilgar Jafarov won a gold medal at the 7th International Circular of Photography “Boka Bay 2025” held in Serbia.
Jafarov’s photograph, titled “A Bombed-Out House”, which depicts the aftermath of the Armenian army's rocket fire on the city of Ganja in 2020—located far from the frontline during the Second Karabakh War—earned him the gold medal from the International Federation of Photographic Art (FIAP).
The competition brought together 173 photographers from various countries.
For his achievements in international competitions in 2024, Ilgar Jafarov was awarded the honorary title of EFIAP/d1 (Excellence FIAP Diamond1) by the International Federation of Photographic Art and recently received a letter of congratulations from the president of the International Association of Art Photographers (IAAP).
