“We are joining the call of the relatives of the Azerbaijanis, who went missing, and are urging the international community to assist in finding the missing persons and exert pressure on Armenia to disclose information on missing persons,” Konul Behbudova, Chairperson of the “Karabakh Missing Families” Public Union, told journalists.

According to her, the fate of up to 4,000 Azerbaijani war victims remains unknown. “For 33 years now, we have had no information about almost 4,000 of our compatriots. We don't know what sufferings they were subjected to. However, today, the world community, including the UN, turns a blind eye to all this. Moreover, it helps Armenia, which has committed countless war crimes and stained its hands with the blood of innocent people. Today, we, the families of the missing, are appealing to the world community for support. We demand that those who committed these crimes be brought to justice. We demand this from the whole world and want our voice to reach international organization,” the chairperson added.

Behbudova emphasized that currently, the mine contamination, one of Armenian crimes against humanity, is still posing a great threat to the Azerbaijani population, with the international community turning a blind eye on these deeds.
