The 29th Annual Conference and General Meeting of the International Association of Prosecutors (IAP), the first and only global organization for prosecutors worldwide, concluded on Wednesday at the Baku Convention Center.
Approximately 470 participants from 95 countries, including prosecutors and other high-ranking officials, attended the closing ceremony. The closing day also featured bilateral, multilateral meetings, as well as plenary sessions, with the participants engaging in fruitful discussions.
In his remarks, Kamran Aliyev, Azerbaijan’s Prosecutor General, noted that the conference contributed to joint fight against all forms of crime, serving as an effective means for developing existing potential and developing cooperation between the prosecution authorities and judicial institutions of the IAP member states.
Other speakers included Juan Bautista Mahiques, the President of the IAP and Attorney General of the Public Prosecution Service of the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires, Roel Dona, IAP Secretary General, as they expressed their gratitude to the Azerbaijan’s Prosecutor General’s Office and everyone involved for the excellent organization of the event.
The Azerbaijani Prosecutor General also announced that Singapore would host the 30th anniversary Annual Conference and General Meeting of the International Association of Prosecutors.
