Due to global climate changes, Azerbaijan’s water resources have diminished by over 15% in recent years, said Vugar Karimov, the Deputy Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of Azerbaijan, Report informs.
The deputy minister noted that the forecasts for the coming years are even more troubling, with the decline expected to continue.
“These changes significantly affect both agricultural crops and animal husbandry. Therefore, specific measures must be taken to adapt to climate changes in these sectors,” Karimov emphasized.
