The COP29 Azerbaijan Operating Company has organized an eco-friendly initiative under the slogan "Reuse for Our Little Friends," Report informs.
The innovative project, aimed at promoting collective participation and responsibility in environmental protection, took place in Icherisheher.
The event, held in partnership with the Icherisheher State Historical-Architectural Reserve, brought together enthusiastic COP29 volunteers for a unique mission: crafting functional birdhouses from recycled materials. This hands-on activity not only captured public interest but also served as a practical demonstration of sustainable waste management.
Volunteers showcased the process of creating various types of birdhouses using different waste materials. They shared fascinating facts about the benefits of waste reduction through reuse, effectively educating participants on the importance of responsible consumption. The finished birdhouses were then installed in the park located at Icherisheher, providing food and water sources for birds and small animals.
This initiative exemplifies the COP29 volunteers' ability to combine theoretical knowledge with practical action. By doing so, they've successfully highlighted the crucial link between waste management and environmental protection, promoted eco-sustainable habits in daily life, drawn public attention to responsible waste management, as well as emphasized the invaluable role of collective efforts in environmental conservation.
