“Inter-parliamentary cooperation is an integral part of Azerbaijan-Slovakia relations. If we look at the ties between our countries as a whole, we can witness that these relations have developed significantly and have been elevated to the level of a strategic partnership, particularly in recent years,” Speaker of the Milli Majlis Sahiba Gafarova said during a joint press conference held on May 13 with Richard Raši, Speaker of the National Council of Slovakia.

“If we look at various facets of our bilateral ties, we can see that successful cooperation is already in place in fields such as the economy, trade, energy, and the defense industry. At the same time, it is important to emphasize that there is great potential for the further expansion of relations in other directions as well. Relevant work is also being carried out to broaden the treaty-legal framework. Cooperation in the humanitarian field holds particular importance in terms of further strengthening the ties between our peoples,” the Speaker of the Milli Majlis stated.
