“Today, during the meeting of the delegations, we discussed relations between our parliaments in detail. As I mentioned earlier, Richard Raši and I share the same position regarding the further development of these ties. The Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation between the two parliaments signed today is a result of this,” said Speaker of the Milli Majlis Sahiba Gafarova during a joint press conference with Richard Raši, Speaker of the National Council of the Slovak Republic, on May 13.
According to her, this document will lead to further expansion of relations between the two countries. “The document covers a number of important areas, including cooperation between friendship groups, relevant committees, delegations to international organizations, and parliamentary administrations,” Gafarova added.
