“The extensive restoration and reconstruction efforts underway in Garabagh and East Zangezur represent a rare example of post-conflict development,” said Hikmet Hajiyev, Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan and Head of the Foreign Policy Affairs Department of the Presidential Administration, during a meeting with representatives of the diplomatic corps accredited in Azerbaijan held at Garabagh University.

He emphasized that over the past five years, Azerbaijan has been rebuilding cities and villages in the devastated areas from the ground up using its own financial and institutional resources, while developing modern infrastructure, transport, and energy systems.

He added that construction and restoration work is being carried out simultaneously across dozens of cities and districts, as well as hundreds of settlements.

Hikmet Hajiyev stressed that this process is shaping valuable experience for the region’s future development model and that Garabagh is already transforming into a center of innovation and reconstruction.
