Jeyhun Bayramov, Azerbaijan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, held a telephone conversation with Mohammad Ishaq Dar, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Pakistan.
During the conversation, the sides discussed the current security situation in the region.
Minister Jeyhun Bayramov welcomed the ceasefire reached between the U.S. and Iran, describing it as a crucial step toward reducing tensions, ensuring stability, and improving the humanitarian situation.
The Azerbaijani FM praised the significant role of friendly and brotherly Pakistan in brokering the ceasefire. He wished the Pakistani side success in advancing peace and stability in the region and in its efforts to establish dialogue and confidence-building between the parties, expressing hope for positive outcomes from the talks scheduled to take place in Islamabad.
Minister Bayramov also hailed Pakistan’s principled and consistent stance, as well as the country’s constructive efforts.
The conversation also covered other regional and international matters of mutual interest, including the development of the Azerbaijan–Pakistan partnership.
