“Russia has expressed its gratitude to the Azerbaijani government for supporting the delivery of humanitarian aid to Iran,” Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said at a briefing.

“On March 27, at the Astara crossing on the Iran–Azerbaijan border, the second significant consignment of medical supplies was successfully delivered: more than 300 tons of pharmaceuticals by rail and approximately 150 tons of humanitarian aid collected in Dagestan and transported by convoy,” the spokesperson noted.

“We are grateful to the Azerbaijani government for its assistance,” Maria Zakharova added.
