An analytical article on the website of Romanian TV channel Digi24 highlighted that one of the main goals of official Washington is to enhance Azerbaijan’s integration into regional transport and economic networks, while balancing Armenia’s security and sovereignty concerns through international mechanisms.
Analysts noted that a key element of this strategy is establishing a transport connection between mainland Azerbaijan and its Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic. This measure could increase trade turnover in the region, diversify logistics routes, and attract Western investments to the South Caucasus. At the same time, it would help strengthen the institutional foundations of regional economic cooperation.
The article also emphasized that addressing security issues through international legal mechanisms and observation formats, alongside the opening of transport and communication lines, is crucial for ensuring long-term stability in the region.
