Farid Ahmadov, Azerbaijan’s Minister of Justice, met with his Emirati counterpart, Abdullah Sultan bin Awad Al Nuaimi.
During the meeting, the ministers stressed the importance of the existing legal framework for the development of relations in the field of justice between the two countries. They also discussed the signing of a new cooperation program that will support the implementation of the memorandum of understanding between the ministries of justice, noting that this document will contribute to the further expansion of bilateral legal cooperation.
Minister Ahmadov briefed his Emirati counterpart on Azerbaijan’s efforts to expand the use of digitalization and artificial intelligence in the judicial system, increase the efficiency and effectiveness of judicial services, and strengthen bilateral experience-sharing, also expressing Azerbaijan’s willingness to learn from best international practices in this sector.
He emphasized the importance of continuing reciprocal visits and exchanges of experience to further strengthen legal cooperation between the two countries.
Farid Ahmadov also met with Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the UAE’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior. The discussions highlighted the mutually beneficial cooperation between the two countries in implementing extradition procedures aimed at combating crime, as well as other issues of shared interest.
