President of Georgia Mikheil Kavelashvili met with Sahiba Gafarova, Speaker of Azerbaijan’s Milli Majlis, to discuss the strong historical friendly ties and strategic partnership between the two countries.
The sides emphasized the significance of their successful cooperation within various international and regional platforms. They also exchanged views on developments in the South Caucasus, with President Kavelashvili reaffirming Georgia’s support for peace and stability in the region and expressing readiness to contribute further to this process.
The meeting also addressed trilateral cooperation between Georgia, Azerbaijan, and Türkiye.
The Georgian President expressed gratitude to Azerbaijan for its unwavering support for Georgia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
