Azerbaijani-Iranian relations have gained positive momentum against the background of new realities, Azerbaijan's Deputy Prime Minister Shahin Mustafayev said at an official reception in Baku on the occasion of Iran's National Day, Report informs.
He noted that progress is also observed in the implementation of various joint projects.
Mustafayev emphasized that the presidents of both countries attach great importance to the development of bilateral cooperation, particularly the implementation of joint projects and agreements aimed at developing the entire region.
"President Ilham Aliyev has visited Iran seven times, which indicates that the head of state considers the development of Azerbaijan-Iranian relations important. Today's dynamics of their development is satisfactory. There are good prospects for expanding cooperation in economy, trade, investment, transport, energy, agriculture, and other areas. Last year, the trade turnover between our countries increased by more than 30%," he added.
