The State Commission, established to investigate the causes of the plane crash, held another meeting on Friday.
Chairman of the commission, Prime Minister Ali Asadov, emphasized that the commission will review the work done so far and the upcoming tasks related to the elimination of the incident consequences.
The commission addressed several urgent issues, including the measures taken and the ongoing efforts to provide necessary assistance to those injured in the plane crash.
The commission members presented their reports on issues falling within respective responsibilities. They also highlighted several issues, including transportation of the injured, as well as bodies of those killed to Azerbaijan, the burial of the deceased, and the ongoing treatment of the citizens in Aktau who are currently in critical condition.
The meeting emphasized the necessary measures taken to bring the bodies of four out of the 26 Azerbaijani citizens, who were killed in an incident to the country and to bury them. They also discussed matters on bringing the bodies of other 22 deceased individuals to Azerbaijan soon following the completion of forensic examination and other necessary measures.
The commission has been instructed to quickly and promptly resolve the issues related to the provision of necessary financial assistance, moral and psychological support to the injured in the plane crash and the bereaved families.
Additionally, it was noted that, investigative measures are ongoing within the special commission established by Kazakhstan to investigate the causes of the incident.
Underlining Azerbaijan's firm position, the commission members said that the causes of the incident must be investigated transparently, objectively and comprehensively, with frequent public updates on the investigation’s outcomes.
