The Foreign Affairs Minister of Azerbaijan, Jeyhun Bayramov, met with the Foreign Affairs Minister of Türkiye, Hakan Fidan, on the margins of the 11th Summit of the Developing Eight Organization for Economic Cooperation (D-8) in Cairo, Report informs, citing the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry.
During the conversation, Foreign Minister Fidan conveyed his congratulations to Minister Bayramov on the election of Azerbaijan as a member of D-8 Organization for Economic Cooperation.
The meeting saw discussions on issues arising from the brotherly relations and strategic alliance between the two countries, as well as the current situation in Syria. The two also conversed on possible areas of cooperation between the two countries, as well as plans for humanitarian assistance in Syria.
