Rotterdam hosts 6th congress of Benelux Azerbaijanis Congress

The 6th congress of the Benelux Azerbaijanis Congress (BAK) was held in Rotterdam, the Netherlands.

The event began with the National Anthem of Azerbaijan, followed by a moment of silence in honor of the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for Azerbaijan’s territorial integrity.

The event continued with the screening of a video highlighting the activities of BAK.

Vusal Ibrahimov, First Secretary of the Azerbaijani Embassy in the Netherlands, representatives of the Netherlands-Azerbaijan "Odlar Yurdu" Society, the Media Group of European Azerbaijanis, heads of organizations operating under BAK, and active members of the Azerbaijani diaspora attended the event.

The congress focused on organizational matters and the action plan for the next four years. During the meeting, a new chairman and an 11-member Board of Directors were elected. Elsever Mammadov was unanimously re-elected as chairman of the Benelux Azerbaijanis Congress for another four-year term.

A congratulatory message from Fuad Muradov, Chairman of the State Committee on Work with Diaspora, was delivered to the congress participants.
