The Central Election Commission (CEC) of Azerbaijan held another meeting on Friday, chaired by Mazahir Panahov.
The session began with the approval of the protocol from the September 11 meeting.
The commission then reviewed appeals concerning the snap parliamentary elections held on September 1, 2024.
Following appropriate decisions made with the personal participation of the relevant stakeholders and applicants, the CEC members made decisions on the appeals, adhering to the legal timeframes and procedures.
As a result of fully transparent, objective and comprehensive investigation of the applications received by the commission and the information obtained from various sources, and taking into account the irregularities that do not allow determining the will of the voters, which are contrary to the requirements of the Election Code, the CEC members decided to annul the election results at several polling stations.
Media representatives attended the meeting, which also included extensive discussions on other current issues.
